The gaye device A lovely collection of pastoral compositions which remind me of an English countryside now lost and forgotten. A hidden gem of an album. I love finding obscure music like this, well off the beaten track of mass commercialisation.

about

This is something completely different from the last release and is a more mainstream album of 11 tracks that cover all styles of music from Acoustic Rock, New-Age, Ambient, Light, Neo-Jazz, Neo-Folk, Progressive, Experimental, Psychedelic and much much more.

The idea for the album came from the land and nature around where I live in the Worcestershire countryside of the English Midlands. It is stimulated by my love of history, literature, nature and birdsong. All of which got mixed up and made into something quite different from my usual arty music. I attempted to portray a different England to the one people know and imagine, an England that is older and rooted in the dark past and deeper earth of the land and its people. Concepts from Chaucer, Hardy, Carr, of the cities of Oxford and Canterbury, and the hippy trips of the 70's and 80's Stonehenge free festivals. All got put into the mix as well as the delight of the very nature of the seasons in this country, and so I hope a dreamy ambient world that will make you dream of greener landscapes and warm beer swilled in traditional English Pubs will ensue, as well as a bit of hippy trippines and fun. Mix this together and hopefully a shear delight in the sounds created will then take you on a trip of unusual discovery.

I was limited in the instruments I used and the album is predominantly Acoustic Guitars, Flute, Bass Guitar as well as a few other instruments. All instruments were recorded in real time and then any effects were added in the software once the parts were recorded.
